Facility Inspections
On top of performing well overall, this nursing home also received a nearly flawless inspection report. Therefore, it earned one of our best grades in that area with an A+. We weigh several aspects of a nursing home's inspection report in calculating our inspection scores. One key factor is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of deficiencies is usually more important than the number of deficiencies, as some of these are quite minor. This place received 3 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none of the deficiencies were considered to be severe. This indicates that the inspectors did not deem any of the deficiencies to cause an imminent threat to patient safety or health. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
Long-term Care Quality
Among its many high-end scores, this nursing home was given an excellent long-term care grade. In fact, we gave it a grade of A in this area. Nursing homes that excel in this category tend to provide residents with better supervision and stay on top of routine healthcare services. One of the factors we considered on top of nursing hours is vaccines. This nursing home administered the pneumonia vaccination to 97.47292 percent of its patients. This is a proven method to avoid unnecessary deaths for the elderly population. Finally, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had only 0.01 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.

Short-term Care Quality
The third category we analyzed was short-term care. Contributing to its elite profile, this nursing home also performed well in this category. In fact, we gave it a grade of of A for that area. Our short-term care grades are thought to be most important for people needing a nursing home for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation usually utilizes additional skilled nursing services. This means not just nursing services, but also physical and occupational therapy, as well as other variations of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this facility employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these types of nurses. However, based on the data this nursing home provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Lastly, we considered the percentage of residents that were able to return home from this facility. We found that 6 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.
Nurse Quality
The last category we scored was nursing. This facility was given a strong nursing rating this year, with a grade of B. Although this was not nearly as dominant as many of its other scores, this remains one of our more favorable scores for that area. Our nursing rating is primarily associated with a nursing home's level of nurse staffing. This nursing home provides 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing grades. This place performed very well in the area of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
