Facility Inspections
To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A+ for our inspections rating. Our inspection scores are tied to many pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that score well in this area tend to have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. Unfortunately, it does not look like we were able to find deficiency counts for this nursing home. We would like to have more information about this facility. Without the information regarding deficiencies, it is challenging to grade this facility in this area.
Short-term Care Quality
This facility was awarded a strong short-term care grade as well. We awarded it one of our better grades in that area with a grade of B+. Short-term care scores are based on a nursing home's quantity of highly-skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This includes a wide spectrum of nursing services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, not to mention other types of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not every facility employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, based on the data this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. The last datapoint we considered in this category is the percentage of residents that returned home from the nursing home. We found that 5.4 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home as opposed to remaining at the nursing home on a permanent basis.

Nurse Quality
This facility's next best category was its nursing grade, where it received a grade of B-. While this didn't quite match its scores in some of the categories discussed above, this is still a decent score. When determining a facility's nursing rating, we assess the number of hours nurses are with patients as well as the levels of training of those nurses. This particular facility provided just 0.3 hours of nursing care per patient each day. This figure is significantly below average. Finally, although this nursing home got dinged a bit for its nursing hours per resident, it excelled in some of our quality-based metrics. With less than five percent of its patients suffering from pressure ulcers, it fared well in this area.
Long-term Care Quality
The final category we graded was long-term care, was this facility's least impressive area. We awarded this facility a D in this category. This really was one of just a couple of weak points on a quality profile. If you are seeking anything other than short-term rehabilitation, you should take a close look at each nursing home's long-term care scores. After considering the amount of care provided by aids and other staff, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination record. This facility vaccinated 97.66082 percent of its residents for pneumonia, which is more than the vast majority of nursing homes. To our surprise, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this facility has less hospitalizations than many nursing homes. Sadly, a few of its other scores in this category weren't as favorable as these.
