Facility Inspections

Grade: A-minus

To pair with its decent overall grade, we awarded this nursing home an A- for our inspections rating. This grade is far more impressive than the facility's overall grade. Inspection grades are tied to several items found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that receive favorable grades in this category typically have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. This particular nursing home received 6 deficiencies on its inspection report. Overall, this is still a good inspection report, but we'd always recommend looking into any deficiencies you find troubling.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B-plus

In addition, we also would like to point out that this nursing home was awarded positive short-term care marks in this assessment. We awarded them one of our more favorable grades in that area, with a B+. This proved to be the facility's second best grade. Our short-term care ratings are meaningful for people seeking rehabilitation. Rehabilitation generally mandates higher levels of skilled nursing. Skilled nursing means a vast range of nursing services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that this facility provided information on registered nurse or physical therapist staffing. The last metric we looked at in this area is the percentage of residents who were able to leave the nursing home and return home. We discovered that 0 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home.

Nurse Quality

Grade: B

An additional reason we rated this nursing home so highly is that it received an A+ nursing rating. In determining our nursing grades, we weigh both staffing levels and the levels of licensure of the nurses. This nursing home averages 0 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This nursing home performed well in this area. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a facility has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can generally be prevented if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: F

The last category we looked at is long-term care. Sadly, it received an F for this area, which is a rock bottom grade. This is obviously a major concern. In a long-term care setting, the facility's primary goal is to maintain patients' quality of life and keep them safe. After considering the quantity of care provided by nurses, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination statistics. We were optimistic to find that this facility vaccinated 96.80851 percent of its patients against pneumonia. To our surprise, this facility also keeps its patients out of the hospital. Indeed, it had only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days. Unfortunately, some of its other scores in this category were not as favorable as these.
