Although we gave this nursing home a terrible overall grade, we gave it a B- for our nursing rating. In computing a facility's nursing grade, we consider the number of hours nurses are seeing patients as well as the level of licensure of those nurses. This nursing home provides 0 hours of nursing care per patient daily. This is a lower figure than we were hoping for. Lastly, nursing grades also consider quality-based metrics, such as avoiding major falls. Despite not having the most impressive total nursing hours per resident, this facility actually performed admirably in the metric of preventing major falls. This is usually a reliable indicator that a place has quality controls in place. Many falls could be avoided if a facility supplies enough nurses to assist its patients.

This facility also didn't rate terribly in the category of short-term care. Indeed, we gave it a grade of B- for that category, which ended up being another one of its better scores. When nursing homes receive a grade in this range in this category it typically means the nursing home didn't perform well in our measures relating to resident care. Once we finished looking at the amount of nursing care, we next considered the facility's vaccination record. Candidly, we were a bit concerned this nursing home vaccinated just 77.51938 percent of its patients for pneumonia. To our surprise, this place was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this facility has fewer hospitalizations than the majority of nursing homes. This was its best feature in this category.

In the final category of inspections, this nursing home had an abysmal showing. It received an F in our inspection rating. You should pay close attention to any deficiencies on a facility's inspection reports when it receives this poor of an inspection grade. We recommend you scrutinize the severity of those deficiencies. This particular facility was assessed 4 deficiencies by government inspectors. The only positive thing we found is that none of its deficiencies were in the categories that suggest that they caused a threat to patient safety or health. Lastly, this nursing home was cited by CMS for possible abuse or neglect. This is generally a really bad sign. We would never recommend this facility.
