Facility Inspections
Although we graded this place incredibly poorly overall, it actually earned a very impressive inspection report this year. As a result, it received one of our more favorable grades in that area with a B+. Perhaps the most important factor we consider in calculating our inspection grades is deficiencies. These deficiencies can be found on a nursing home's inspection reports. It is generally best to avoid facilities that had too many deficiencies. This place was hit with 5 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none of the deficiencies were considered severe. This means that the government inspectors didn't consider any of the deficiencies to be an immediate threat to resident safety or health. A couple minor deficiencies are not necessarily the end of the world.
Nurse Quality
In addition, we gave this facility an F in the area of nursing care. Nursing ratings are mostly based on a facility's nurse staffing. This place offered just 0.4 hours of nursing care per patient daily. This is not a very impressive figure. Finally, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing ratings. This nursing home performed well when it comes to minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls.

Short-term Care Quality
Another unfortunate development is the F this nursing home received in the area of short-term care. In the category of short-term care, we seek to evaluate indicators of a facility's rehabilitation services. We analyze the nursing home's skilled nursing services, such as those performed by registered nurses and physical, occupational and other therapists. Not surprisingly, we found that this nursing home provides far less physical therapist and registered nurse hours per resident than the average facility. Lastly, we considered the percentage of residents that who were able to eventually return home from this facility. This facility didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 4.9 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home. This figure was well off the national average.
Long-term Care Quality
The last category we scored is long-term care. It received a lowly F in this category, which is a very poor grade. When nursing homes receive a grade in this range in long-term care it typically means the nursing home did not perform well in our quality measures relating to patient care. After we finished assessing the amount of nursing care, we next considered the facility's vaccination statistics. Candidly, we were a bit bothered by the fact that this facility vaccinated a relatively low 85.35211 percent of its residents against pneumonia. To our surprise, this place actually fared well at keeping its residents out of the hospital. It had only 0.03 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days. This was its best score in this category.
