This nursing home provides 0.5 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well when it comes to avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

In addition, this nursing home also received a nearly flawless inspection report. As a result, it received one of our highest grades in that area with a score of A. Arguably the most important factor we look at in determining our inspection ratings is deficiencies. These deficiencies are found on a facility's recent inspection reports. Places with higher scores in this category most likely dodged the most severe deficiencies involving patient abuse or death. This nursing home was assessed 5 deficiencies on its inspection report, but we were relieved to see that none were considered to be severe. This tells you that CMS didn't consider any of the deficiencies to pose an immediate risk to resident safety or health. A few minor dings aren't necessarily the end of the world.

Moving on our third category, this facility received an excellent short-term care grade. In fact, we gave it a grade of A- in that area. In the category of short-term care, we try to qualify indicators of a facility's rehabilitation. We assess a nursing home's skilled nursing services, including those performed by registered nurses and physical and occupational therapists. Fortunately, it looks like this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not all facilities employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, according to the information this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. The last metric we assessed in this area is the percentage of residents that ultimately were able to return home from the facility. We found that 5.4 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home as opposed to remaining at the nursing home on a permanent basis.

Turning to our final category, this facility was awarded a very strong long-term care score. In fact, we gave it a B+ in this category, wrapping up one of our more impressive profiles. Nursing homes that excel in this category tend to provide patients with more supervision and stay on top of routine healthcare services. After assessing the quantity of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we turned to the nursing home's vaccination record. This nursing home vaccinated 100 percent of its residents for pneumonia, which is much higher than most nursing homes. Clearly, this place is doing something right in this area as it was able to keep its patients out of the hospital. Indeed, it had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
