Facility Inspections
This nursing home's scores are horrible across the board. We especially want to point out its inspection grade where it received an F. This isn't a good sign for its inspection reports. We would advise paying close attention to any deficiencies on a nursing home's inspection reports when it receives this poor of an inspection rating. We suggest you scrutinize the severity of the deficiencies. This particular facility had 10 deficiencies on its inspection report. The only favorable thing we can say is that none of the deficiencies were in the categories that suggest that they posed a risk to resident health or safety. Lastly, this facility was flagged by CMS for possible abuse or neglect. We prefer to avoid facilities with this designation. Please do your best to find an alternative nursing home.
Nurse Quality
We also wanted to draw your attention to this facility's poor nursing grade where it received an F. Nursing ratings are primarily based on a facility's level of nurse staffing. This nursing home averaged just 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident daily. This is well below average. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality-based metrics in calculating our nursing scores. This place performed well when it comes to avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. Many consider these areas to be reliable measures of the quality of nursing care.

Long-term Care Quality
Tragically, we gave this facility an F for its long-term care score. Facilities that receive this type of grade in this category may not provide the type of consistent 24/7 care that some other nursing homes offer. On top of considering the volume of care provided by aids and other staff, we looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. Frankly, we were a bit bothered by the fact that this nursing home gave the vaccine to a relatively low 40.985916 percent of its residents. To our surprise, this place was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0.03 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this facility had fewer hospitalizations than many nursing homes. This is its best score in this category.
Short-term Care Quality
The last category we assessed was short-term care. This facility was given an abysmal grade of F in that area. Short-term care grades are commonly used to score a nursing home's performance with rehabilitation. To have highly graded rehabilitation services, facilities generally need to provide higher levels of highly skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and other highly skilled individuals. With a score of this caliber for this category, we weren't shocked to find this facility was well below average in several staffing figures we assess. In fact, it offered substantially fewer registered nurse and physical therapist hours per patient than most other nursing homes. Finally, we considered the number of patients who eventually returned home from this nursing home. This nursing home didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 4 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home.
