Facility Inspections
Although we gave this facility a terrible overall grade, we awarded it a C for our inspections rating. In fact, the facility received very impressive inspection report this year. We believe that one of the most important factors in assessing an inspection report is deficiencies. In this regard, we especially look at the severity of the deficiencies. This nursing home was hit with 3 deficiencies on its inspection report, but we were relieved to find that none were in categories G through L. This indicates that inspectors did not deem any of the deficiencies to create an imminent danger to resident safety or health. Unfortunately, we also need to draw your attention to the fact that this facility received significant government fines in recent years.
Long-term Care Quality
This facility also didn't perform too badly in the area of long-term care. In fact, we awarded it a grade of C for that area, which turned out to be among its more respectable grades. Our long-term care grade is generally used to grade a nursing home's performance as a traditional convalescent home, as opposed to focusing more on the skilled nursing services provided by a skilled nursing facility. On top of considering the quantity of care provided by aids and other staff, we analyzed the percentage of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. This nursing home vaccinated 85.779816 percent of its patients. This is many points less than the national average. On a more positive note, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. It had only 0.03 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.

Nurse Quality
This facility ended up receiving rock bottom score in our nursing category. It received an F in this category. The nursing grade includes many datapoints, however, the main one is the number of nurse hours per patient per week. This nursing home provides 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a much lower figure than we are used to seeing. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing scores. This place performed well in terms of avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls.
Short-term Care Quality
The last category we rated is short-term care. Sadly, it received an abysmal F in this category, which is a rock bottom grade. Our short-term care ratings are vital for individuals looking for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation generally requires additional highly-skilled nursing services. Skilled nursing includes a wide range of nursing services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Not surprisingly, we found that this nursing home provides far less physical therapist and registered nurse hours per resident than the average facility. Finally, we assessed the percentage of residents that who were able to eventually return home from this nursing home. This nursing home didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 4.7 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home. This figure was well off the national average.
