Fortunately, it appear that this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not all facilities employs these skilled professionals. On the other hand, based on the data this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. The last item we looked at in this area is the percentage of patients who returned home from the nursing home. Nurse Quality
This facility received a very good nursing grade this year as well. It received one of our better scores in that category with a grade of B. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well in the area of minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
Long-term Care Quality
The next area we analyzed was long-term care. We gave this nursing home a grade of D in long-term care, leaving this as the facility's least impressive area. For prospective residents seeking a permanent residence as opposed to rehabilitation, long-term care is an important category. Once we finished looking at the amount of nursing care, we next considered the facility's vaccination record. We were pleased to find that this facility vaccinated 98.23529 percent of its patients against pneumonia. To our surprise, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this facility had less hospitalizations than most nursing homes. Unfortunately, some of its other scores in the category weren't as favorable as these.
