When nursing homes receive a score in this range in long-term care it typically means it has plenty of staff and is a quality place to live on a permanent basis. While this admittedly wasn't as impressive as most of its other scores in this category, this statistic may be skewed for some nursing homes due to the preexisting medical conditions of residents.
Facility Inspections
This nursing home also received an A+ inspection score, making it one of the rare places to receive multiple A+'s in our categories. This score is based on the facility's inspection reports. An A+ in this category is one of the best complements we can pay to a nursing home. Inspection scores are tied to many datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent government inspections. Nursing homes that excel in this area typically have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these places should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. Although this facility had a few deficiencies on its government inspection report, none of them were serious based on CMS' deficiency scale. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

One reason for this nursing home's strong score in this category is that it offers a substantially larger volume of hours of physical therapy than a typical nursing home. Finally, we looked at the percentage of patients who were able to return home from this facility. On top of excelling in the area of physical therapy, we found that it performed as well as just about any nursing home in the country with 59.9 percent of its patients returning home.
