Short-term Care Quality
One of the reasons this turned out to be a great nursing home is that it received an A+ short-term care grade. This is simply as good as it gets in this category. In our short-term care grade, we endeavor to forge a fair gauge for rehabilitation. In doing so, we analyze the facility's level of skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as speech therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not every facility employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, based on the information this nursing home provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Lastly, we assessed the number of patients who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 6.5 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home.
Facility Inspections
Adding to this facility's impressive resume, we gave this nursing home an A for our inspections rating. Inspection scores weigh several factors found on a nursing home's inspection report. One key criteria we look at is the quantity and severity of deficiencies. Places with better grades in this area usually have very few of these severe deficiencies. While this facility had a few deficiencies on its government inspection report, none were major deficiencies based on CMS' scale. A few relatively minor deficiencies are not necessarily the end of the world.

Nurse Quality
Among its many impressive grades, this facility received an excellent nursing grade. In fact, we gave it a grade of A- in that category. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This facility performed well in this area. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a facility has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can often be prevented if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.
Long-term Care Quality
In our last area, we gave this nursing home an A for our long-term care rating. This wrapped up a very strong report card. Facilities that receive this type of score in long-term care typically provide consistent around the clock care to ensure residents are kept in good health. After looking at the amount of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we then looked at the nursing home's vaccination record. This nursing home vaccinated 99.09091 percent of its residents against pneumonia, which is much higher than the vast majority of nursing homes. Finally, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had only 0.03 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
