Short-term care ratings are based in part on the facility's quantity of skilled nursing services. This includes a vast spectrum of services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, not to mention other forms of therapy. Fortunately, this nursing home offers both physical therapists and registered nurses. Not all facilities offer both. Lastly, we looked at the number of patients who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that it outperformed the majority of facilities in the country with 53.5 percent of its patients returning home. This is a higher rate than most nursing homes.

In our last category, we awarded this nursing home a A+ for its nursing score. This finished off an elite profile. Nursing scores are heavily correlated with nurse staffing levels. With 4.3 hours of nursing care per patient each day, this nursing home surpassed the vast majority of nursing homes. Lastly, this nursing home also excelled in several quality-based metrics we assessed. With less than five percent of its residents suffering from pressure ulcers, it performed as well as any nursing home Florida in this category. This is usually an indicator that a facility has reliable quality controls in place. Many pressure ulcers can be avoided by providing better nursing care and having a system of turning residents more often.
