Facility Inspections
Although we did not rate this facility highly overall, we want to draw your attention to its nearly flawless government inspections in recent years. We awarded them an A+ in this category. These inspection grades take several factors into consideration, including deficiencies, substantiated complaints and federal fines. You can learn more about each of these issues by obtaining copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. Although this facility had some deficiencies on its report, none of them were major deficiencies based on CMS' scale. A few minor deficiencies are not necessarily the end of the world.

Long-term Care Quality
This facility wound up receiving a bottom of the barrel grade in our long-term care category. It was given a lowly F in this category. Facilities that do not fare well in this category typically are not as well-staffed and are lagging in some of the areas of routine medical care we looked at. After considering the volume of care provided by nurses and other staff, we turned to the nursing home's vaccination records. We were a bit worried that this nursing home vaccinated 79.08497 percent of its residents against pneumonia, which happens to be quite a few points less than what we were hoping for. Surprisingly, this place was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this nursing home had fewer hospitalizations than the average nursing home. This is its best feature in this category.
Nurse Quality
The next area we scored was nursing. This facility received an abysmal grade of F in this area. Our nursing score features a host of subcategories. The most important variable is the amount of time nurses spent with residents. This facility provided just 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a very low total compared to most nursing homes. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality measures in computing our nursing scores. This place fared well in the area of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers.
