Facility Inspections
While we graded this place incredibly poorly overall, it actually received a relatively impressive government inspection report this year. As a result, it received one of our better scores in that category with a B. Our inspection scores are tied to datapoints found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Deficiencies are a key thing to look for on these inspections. Most importantly, you should avoid nursing homes with severe deficiencies associated with endangerment of patients. This particular nursing home received 13 deficiencies on its inspection report. Overall, this is still a solid inspection report, but we'd always recommend looking into any deficiencies you find troubling.
Nurse Quality
In addition, we gave this facility an F in the area of nursing care. Nursing scores are largely associated with the facility's nurse staffing. This particular facility provided just 0.3 hours of nursing care per patient on a daily basis. This figure is quite a bit below average. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing scores. This facility fared well when it comes to minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these metrics to be reliable indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Long-term Care Quality
Unfortunately, this facility received an F for its long-term care score. Long-term care ratings in this range generally are a bad sign for the quantity and quality of care provided by nurses and aids. On top of considering the volume of care provided by nurses and other staff, we also looked at the number of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. Candidly, we were a bit concerned this facility gave the vaccine to just 81.58996 percent of its patients. To our surprise, this place was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0.02 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this nursing home had less hospitalizations than most nursing homes. This was its best feature in this category.
Short-term Care Quality
The final category we analyzed was short-term care. This facility received a very poor grade of F in this area. Short-term care grades are generally used to gauge a nursing home's rehabilitation services. To have quality rehabilitation services, nursing homes generally need to offer higher levels of skilled nursing services. Skilled nursing includes registered nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists and other highly trained professionals. Based on its grade in this category, we weren't surprised to discover that this nursing home is well below average in terms of the quantity of registered nurse and physical therapy hours provided to its residents based on the figures we looked at. The last metric we considered in this category is the number of patients who were able to return home from the facility. This facility struggled quite a bit in this metric as well, with just 4.1 percent of its patients returning home.
