Facility Inspections
We were not able to award this facility any respectable scores. We wanted to point out that we gave it an F for its inspection grade. An F in this category is really troublesome because it usually points to red flags on the facility's inspections. When a place has this bad of an inspection rating, you should expect some severe deficiencies on its inspection report. Severe deficiencies indicate a risk to resident safety. This particular nursing home had 7 deficiencies by CMS. The only positive thing we found is that none of these deficiencies were in the categories that indicate they posed a risk to resident safety or health. Finally, CMS cited this nursing home for possible abuse or neglect. Hopefully, its performance improves in the future, but until then we simply can't recommend this facility.
Short-term Care Quality
In addition, we gave this facility a rock-bottom F in the area of short-term care. In our short-term care category, we strive to forge a valuable gauge for rehabilitation. In this process, we look at a nursing home's level of highly-skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as respiratory therapy. Based on its grade in this category, we weren't stunned to discover that this place is well below average in terms of its number of registered nurse and physical therapy hours provided to its residents based on the figures we assessed. Honestly, this was what we expected to find. Finally, we looked at the number of patients who eventually returned home from this nursing home. This facility didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 0 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home. This figure was well off the national average.

Long-term Care Quality
Another issue is the F this nursing home was given in the category of long-term care. When nursing homes receive this type of grade in this category it is a bad sign for patient care and it may indicate that the facility is not as well-staffed. One of the datapoints we considered in addition to nursing hours was vaccines. We were a bit bothered by the fact that this facility administered the pneumonia vaccine to just 73.333336 percent of its patients. Surprisingly, this nursing home was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this nursing home had fewer hospitalizations than the majority of nursing homes. This was its best score in this category.
Nurse Quality
The last category we rated is nursing, in which this facility received an abysmal score in this category as well. Sadly, it received an F for this category, which is definitely somewhat alarming. We assessed the qualifications of nurses at the nursing home, as well as the quantity of time the nurses spent with residents, in determining our rating in this area. This nursing home provides 0.2 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a much lower figure than we are used to seeing. To pair with its low totals in the area of nursing hours per resident, this place had really bad marks in several of the quality-based measures we looked at in calculating our nursing ratings. We looked at the percentage of residents having falls leading to serious injury. This facility was at more than 1.5 times the national average in this statistic. This is quite concerning in light of the fact that so many falls could be avoided with better nursing care. This ended up sealing the facility's fate of receiving a poor nursing rating.
