Facility Inspections

Grade: B

While this nursing home earned a decent overall grade, its inspections grade is notably better than its overall score. Due to a strong health inspection report this year, it earned a strong score in that area with a B. Perhaps the most significant factor we consider in determining our inspection ratings is deficiencies. Deficiencies can be found on a facility's recent inspection reports. Places with better grades in this area typically avoided the most severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. Although this nursing home had some deficiencies on its inspection report, none of them were severe based on CMS' deficiency scale. We should note that deficiency-free inspections are uncommon in the industry.

This nursing home provides 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This nursing home performed well in this area. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a facility has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can often be avoided if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.

Once we assessed the volume of care provided by nurses and other staff, we turned to the facility's vaccination statistics. This facility vaccinated 95.27027 percent of its patients against pneumonia, which is higher than the average nursing home. Finally, this facility was also able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: C

Turning to the last area, this nursing home was given a respectable short-term care grade of C. In calculating our short-term care ratings, we analyze the nursing home's levels of skilled nursing, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists respiratory therapists and other licensed professionals. This area is more often than not a useful assessment of the nursing home's ability to rehabilitate patients. We weren't able to find information on registered nurse or physical therapy staffing for this nursing home. The last item we assessed in this area is the number of patients who returned home from the nursing home. We found that just 0 percent of this facility's residents returned home.
