Facility Inspections

Grade: A

To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this nursing home an A for our inspections rating. Our inspection scores are based on several datapoints found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that excel in this category have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. Fortunately, although this facility had some minor dings on its inspection report, it had no severe deficiencies. Severe deficiencies are ones labeled as categories G through L. This tells you the inspectors didn't deem any of the deficiencies on this facility's report to pose an imminent threat to patient health or safety. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: A-minus

We also gave this nursing home a score of A- for our long-term care grade. When nursing homes receive this kind of grade in long-term care it is usually a good sign for resident care and suggests that the nursing home is well-staffed with nurses aids. After considering the volume of care provided by nurses and other staff, we next considered the nursing home's vaccination data. This facility vaccinated 98.601395 percent of its patients against pneumonia. Vaccines are vital to keeping residents out of the hospital. Lastly, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. It had only 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: C

The third highest area we gave this nursing home in any category came in the area of short-term care, where we awarded it a grade of C. Our short-term care grades are vital for patients needing rehabilitation. Rehabilitation usually mandates additional skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes a vast scope of services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, as well as other variations of therapy. Unfortunately, we weren't able to locate registered nurse or physical therapy staffing data for this nursing home. Finally, we considered the number of patients who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that 0 percent of this facility's patients returned home. At most nursing homes, closer to half of their patients are able to return home so this figure is below average.

Nurse Quality

Grade: D

The last category we looked at was nursing. We awarded this facility a grade of D for nursing, leaving this as its worst category. There are quite a few data points included in this grade. Most of these factors are tied to staffing levels. This particular nursing home averaged a meager 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This statistic is far below average. Unfortunately, this facility also did not perform as well as we had hoped in some of the quality-based metrics we assessed in this category.
