Short-term Care Quality
One of the many reasons this turned out to be a great nursing home is that it received an A+ short-term care grade. Our short-term care scores are based on the facility's quantity of highly-skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This means a vast scope of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, in addition to other variations of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not every facility employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, based on the data this nursing home provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. The last measure we considered in this area is the number of residents that who were able to eventually return home from the facility. We found that 6.3 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home as opposed to remaining at the facility on a permanent basis.
Facility Inspections
Adding to its impressive grades, we awarded this nursing home an B+ for our inspections rating. Our inspection ratings are tied to pieces of information found on the a nursing home's recent government inspections. Facilities that receive favorable grades in this area tend to have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these facilities should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. This particular nursing home received 2 deficiencies on its inspection report. Overall, this is still a good inspection report, but we'd always recommend looking into any deficiencies you find troubling.

Nurse Quality
This facility received a very good nursing grade this year as well. It received one of our better scores in that category with a grade of B. Our nursing rating looks at the nursing home's nurse staffing levels. We factor in both the levels of licensure of those nurses and the amount of time spent with patients. This particular nursing home provided 0.5 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This facility performed well in this area. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a facility has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can many times be avoided if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.
Long-term Care Quality
The last area we analyzed is long-term care, where this facility was awarded a B-. Although this proved to be its least impressive category score, this is still not a terrible score. In crafting our long-term care ratings, we analyze the nursing home's ability to maintain its permanent residents' health and quality of life. On top of assessing the quantity of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. This nursing home provided the vaccine to 91.29555 percent of its patients. This is a few points lower than we anticipated but still a respectable percentage. Fortunately, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had only 0.01 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.
