Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B-plus

This nursing home received a short-term care score which is stronger than its overall grade. We awarded this nursing home a B+ in this category. This really helped its overall profile. Short-term care scores are based on the nursing home's quantity of skilled highly skilled professionals. This includes a broad spectrum of services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, not to mention other types of therapy. We were not able to find information on registered nurse or physical therapy staffing for this nursing home. Finally, we considered the percentage of residents who eventually returned home from this nursing home. We found that 0 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home.

Nurse Quality

Grade: B-plus

This nursing home also received a strong nursing grade. In fact, we awarded it a grade of B+ in that category, which is one of our better scores. Nursing grades are primarily associated with a facility's nurse staffing. This nursing home averages 0 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well in terms of avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Facility Inspections

Grade: B

This nursing home's third best category grade came in the area of government inspections. In that category, we gave this facility a B. It actually outperformed most nursing homes in this category. Perhaps the most critical factor we consider in computing our inspection ratings is deficiencies. Deficiencies can be found on a nursing home's inspection reports. Places with higher scores in this category typically dodged the more severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. Sadly, this nursing home was assessed a category L deficiency, which is not what we expected based on its inspection grade. This category of deficiency indicates CMS uncovered a widespread deficiency putting resident health or safety in imminent danger. Even a single serious deficiency of this nature should be taken seriously. In spite of this major red flag, other aspects of this facility's inspection report gave us some hope.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: C

The final category we graded was long-term care. In this category, we gave this nursing home a C. If you are looking for services other than short-term rehabilitation, you should take a close look at each facility's long-term care grades. In addition to considering the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we analyzed the percentage of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. Frankly, we were a bit concerned this nursing home vaccinated just 89.74359 percent of its patients. Fortunately, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had only 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.
