Facility Inspections
To pair with its strong overall score, we gave this nursing home an A+ for our inspections rating. Perhaps the most significant factor we consider in calculating our inspection grades is deficiencies. Deficiencies are found on a facility's recent inspection reports. Places with better scores in this category typically dodged the more severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. This particular nursing home had just a single deficiency on its inspection report and it was not one deemed to pose a threat to patient health or safety. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
Short-term Care Quality
This facility also received a first-rate short-term care score. In fact, this turned out to be its second best category score. In that area, this facility received a grade of A. With our short-term care assessment, we seek to craft a sound barometer for rehabilitation services. In doing so, we analyze the facility's levels of skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as respiratory therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not all nursing homes employs these skilled professionals. However, based on the data this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Lastly, we assessed the number of patients that eventually returned home from this facility. We found that 5.2 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home.

Long-term Care Quality
The next category we analyzed was long-term care. Contributing to its high-end resume, this facility also excelled in that category. In fact, it received a of A for the category. When facilities receive a score in this range in this category it generally means it's well-staffed and is a quality place to reside on a permanent basis. In addition to looking at the volume of care provided by nurses and other staff, we looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. This nursing home vaccinated 100 percent of its residents, which is an impressive figure. Pneumonia tragically can be a dangerous illness for nursing home residents so we prefer when a facility doesn't leave this to chance. Lastly, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. It had only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
Nurse Quality

Our nursing score is mostly based on the nursing home's nurse staffing. This facility provided 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed certain nursing quality measures in computing our nursing grades. These include minimizing residents' pressure ulcers and major falls.
