Our inspection grades are tied to pieces of information found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that excel in this area tend to have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these places generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. Unfortunately, we weren't able to locate deficiency data for this nursing home. Without all of the information regarding deficiencies for this nursing home, it ended up being challenging to fully grade the place in the inspections category.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: A

Contributing to its dominant resume, this facility also excelled in our short-term care category. In fact, we gave it a grade of A in that area. Our short-term care ratings are crucial for residents seeking rehabilitation. Rehabilitation generally requires additional highly-skilled nursing services. This includes a vast spectrum of nursing services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Unfortunately, we were not able to locate registered nurse or physical therapy staffing data for this facility. The final item we considered in this area is the percentage of patients who returned home from the facility. We found that 6 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home as opposed to remaining at the nursing home on a permanent basis.

Nurse Quality

Grade: B

This facility received a very good nursing grade this year as well. It received one of our better scores in that category with a grade of B. Our nursing grade is based on a handful of factors, many of which are based on nursing hours. This nursing home averages 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This place performed well in this area. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a place has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can typically be prevented if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: B

Moving on to the final area, this facility was awarded a high-end long-term care score. Even though this is not quite as impressive as many of its other category grades, this is still one of our better grades we offer. Long-term care grades of this caliber generally require both around the clock care from nurses and aids, as well as quality routine healthcare services. After looking at the volume of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination records. This facility vaccinated 99.56332 percent of its patients against pneumonia. Vaccines are vital to keeping patients healthy. Clearly, this facility is doing something right in this area as it was able to keep its patients out of the hospital. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
