In a long-term care environment, the nursing home's primary goal is to maintain patients' quality of life and keep them safe. One of the datapoints we considered on top of nurse's aid hours was vaccines. It doesn't look like this nursing home submitted information about vaccinations. Clearly, this nursing home is doing something right in this area as it also excelled at keeping its residents out of the hospital. Switching gears to our next category, this nursing home received a high-end nursing rating. We awarded it an A in this area, resulting in this facility receiving straight A's. Our nursing score includes quite a few components, most of which are associated with quantities of nurse staffing. This nursing home provided 4.5 hours of nursing care per patient per day. This was one of the better totals we found. Furthermore, we found that a significant percentage of this care was provided by registered nurses, which are highly skilled nurses. These are both really impressive figures. On top of providing high levels of care, this nursing home also excelled in the quality-based metrics we assessed. It performed as well as any facility in the nation when it comes to minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls.
