To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A+ for our inspections rating. Our inspection grades are based on many items found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well in terms of avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Contributing to its remarkable assessment, this facility also was awarded an excellent long-term care grade, with a grade of A-. Facilities that receive this type of grade in this category tend to provide consistent around the clock care to make sure residents are well cared for. After considering the amount of nursing care, we next considered the facility's vaccination statistics. This nursing home vaccinated 99.25373 percent of its residents for pneumonia, which is very impressive. Pneumonia tragically can be a life threatening illness for nursing home patients so we like it when a nursing home does not leave this to chance. Finally, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. It had only 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.

The fourth category we analyzed was short-term care, where this facility received a grade of B+. This wrapped up a very strong report card. Only a select few facilities received a B+ or better in all four categories. In computing these short-term care scores, we assess the nursing home's skilled nursing services, such as those performed by registered nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists and other types of skilled professionals. The objective is to formulate a measure for comparing the rehabilitation services of various nursing homes. Fortunately, it looks like this facility employs registered nurses. Not all facilities employs these skilled professionals. However, based on the information they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. The final item we looked at in this category is the number of patients who were able to leave the nursing home and return home.
