One of the many reasons this turned out to be a great nursing home is that it received a very strong nursing rating. This proved to be its best category. In this category, we awarded this nursing home an A. The nursing score consists of quite a few subcategories, most of which are associated with levels of nurse staffing. This nursing home boasts a really impressive 4.2 hours of nursing care per resident daily, of which a significant portion was provided by registered nurses. This is one of the most highly highly trained levels of nurses. This is one of the highest totals of nursing hours we were able to find. On top of providing impressive levels of nursing care, this nursing home also excelled in the quality measures we assessed. By way of illustration, it performed as well as any nursing home in the state in the area of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers. We look at these statistics as good measures of the caliber of nursing care being provided.
