Although we didn't rate this nursing home favorably overall, we did give it an excellent grade in the area of inspections, where it earned an A-. Our inspection scores weigh a host of factors included in a facility's inspection reports. One key criteria we rely on is the quantity and severity of deficiencies. You should avoid places with a bunch of deficiencies flagged. This facility was hit with 4 deficiencies on its inspection report, but none of the deficiencies were considered severe. This means that the inspectors did not consider any of these deficiencies to cause an immediate risk to resident health or safety. A couple minor deficiencies aren't the end of the world.

The last item we considered in this area is the percentage of residents who were able to return home from the nursing home. We found that just 0 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home. Unfortunately, this was below the national average.

We were stunned to find that this facility also excelled in the category of nursing. We awarded it a grade of D for that category, which is one of our highest grades. Our nursing rating analyzes a handful of factors, most of which are based on levels of nurse staffing. This facility offered only 0.3 hours of nursing care per patient each day. This is an alarmingly low total. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in computing our nursing scores. This nursing home fared well in terms of minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls.

The last category we analyzed was long-term care, where this nursing home was given a rock bottom grade in this area also. It received a lowly F for this category, which is definitely a major concern. Unfortunately, some of its other scores in the category weren't as favorable as these.
