While this facility earned a decent overall grade, its inspections score is notably better than its overall score. Due to a strong government inspection report this year, it earned one of our better scores in that category with a B+. The next highest grade we gave this nursing home in any area came in the category of nursing, where we gave it a grade of B-. The nursing score considers many datapoints. The most heavily weighted factor is the amount of time nurses spent with residents. This facility provides 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident each day. This is a lower figure than we were hoping for. Finally, we also looked at several nursing quality-based metrics. While this place got dinged a bit for nursing hours, it actually excelled in some of these quality-based metrics. With fewer than five percent of its residents experiencing pressure ulcers, it did very well in this statistic. This can be a good indicator of quality nursing care. Pressure ulcers can often be avoided by offering better nursing care, such as by having a system of turning a resident at least once a day.

Moving on to our next area, this facility did not fare well. Due to a bottom of the barrel grade of F in long-term care, this is this nursing home's poorest grade. For prospective residents in need of a permanent place to live rather than skilled nursing, long-term care is an important category. One of the factors we considered after nurse's aid hours is vaccinations. Thankfully, this facility provided the pneumonia vaccine to 98.24561 percent of its residents. Surprisingly, this facility was able to keep its residents out of the hospital. It had just 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days.
