While this facility's overall grade was as bad as it gets, it actually didn't perform terribly in the area of inspections. In fact, we awarded it a grade of B- for that category, which is one of our better scores. Our inspection grades are tied to items found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. It is important to determine whether this is adversely impacting the quality of care. The final statistic we considered in this category is the percentage of patients who were able to leave the nursing home and return home. We were stunned to find that this facility also excelled in the category of nursing. We gave it a score of D for that category, which is one of our best grades. One of the criteria we considered on top of nursing hours is vaccinations. Thankfully, this facility administered the pneumonia vaccination to 100 percent of its residents. Surprisingly, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this nursing home has fewer hospitalizations than the majority of nursing homes. Unfortunately, some of its other scores in the category weren't as favorable as these.
