Facility Inspections
In addition to being a great overall grade, this facility also received A+ health inspections in recent years. Its inspections were virtually flawless. Arguably the most critical factor we consider in determining our inspection ratings is deficiencies. These deficiencies can be found on a nursing home's inspection reports. Places with better scores in this category most likely avoided the most severe deficiencies involving patient abuse or death. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that we were able to find deficiency data for this nursing home. Without having access to the deficiency data for this facility, it was challenging to evaluate it in the inspections category.
Nurse Quality
Adding to its impressive resume, this nursing home also excelled in our nursing category. In fact, we awarded it a grade of A for that category. Our nursing score assesses quite a few components, most of which are based on levels of nurse staffing. This particular nursing home provided 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This nursing home performed very well in terms of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Short-term Care Quality
The next category we assessed was short-term care. Contributing to its high-end resume, this facility also performed well in this area. In fact, it received a grade of of A in that category. Our short-term care grades are believed to be more important for those needing a nursing home for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation generally utilizes more skilled nursing. Skilled nursing means not just nursing, but also physical and speech therapy, as well as other variations of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this facility employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these skilled professionals. However, according to the data they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Lastly, we looked at the number of patients who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that 5.8 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.
Long-term Care Quality
The final category we looked at is long-term care, where this nursing home received an A-. This finished off an elite report card. Very few nursing homes received an A- or better in all four categories. Facilities that excel in long-term care tend to be well-staffed and provide extensive hands on care to residents. Once we looked at the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination data. This nursing home vaccinated 99.591835 percent of its residents for pneumonia, which is far higher than the average nursing home. Clearly, this facility is doing something right in this area as it also excelled at keeping its residents out of the hospital. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.
