The last category we graded is nursing. This facility was awarded a very good nursing grade in our assessment, with a grade of C. Although this was not quite as good as some of its other grades, this is nevertheless a decent score for this category. Our nursing score is based on a variety of data points. The most important variable is the amount of time nurses spend with residents. This nursing home provides only 0.4 hours of nursing care per patient each day. This is a somewhat concerning figure which is well below average. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures. Although this place got docked a bit for nursing hours per resident, it actually excelled in a few of these quality-based metrics. With fewer than five percent of its residents sustaining pressure ulcers, it did very well in this subcategory. This can be an indicator of quality nursing care. Pressure ulcers can often be avoided by offering better nursing care, such as by having a system of turning patients at least once a day.
