Although we didn't rate this facility favorably overall, we actually gave it an excellent grade in the area of inspections, where it earned a grade of A. Arguably the most significant factor we look at in determining our inspection grades is deficiencies. These deficiencies can be found on a nursing home's inspection reports. It is generally in your best interest to avoid facilities that had a long list of severe deficiencies. This place was assessed 4 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none were considered to be major deficiencies. This indicates that the inspectors didn't deem any of the deficiencies to create an imminent risk to patient safety or health. A few minor deficiencies aren't the end of the world.

Skilled nursing includes registered nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists and other highly skilled individuals. With a score this poor for this area, we were not stunned to learn this place was well below average in the two key staffing areas we assess. In fact, it offered substantially fewer registered nurse and physical therapist hours per patient than most nursing homes. Finally, we looked at the number of residents that who were able to eventually return home from this nursing home. This facility didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 0 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home. This figure was quite a bit off the national average.

The final category we analyzed was nursing. Unfortunately, we gave it a lowly F in this category, which is a very poor grade. In determining our nursing grades, we factor in both the number of hours nurses spend with residents and the training levels of those nurses.
