Long-term Care Quality
We really could not find anything good to say about this facility. It received a D in the area of long-term care. For residents looking for a permanent residence rather than rehabilitation, long-term care grades are a key measure. After assessing the volume of care provided by aids and other staff, we then looked at the facility's vaccination data. This nursing home vaccinated 98.21429 percent of its patients against pneumonia, which is higher than the vast majority of nursing homes. Surprisingly, this place also keeps its residents out of the hospital. Indeed, it had just 0.04 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days. Sadly, some of its other scores in this category weren't as favorable as these.
Nurse Quality
One of the other reasons we graded this nursing home so highly is that it received a very impressive nursing grade. In that area, we gave this nursing home an D. The nursing score includes a number of subcategories. The most heavily weighted factor is the quantity of hours nurses spent with residents. This place provided only 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident on a daily basis. Finally, we also looked at some nursing quality measures in computing our nursing grades. This place performed well in terms of minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these datapoints to be measures of the quality of nursing care.

Facility Inspections
This nursing home did not receive favorable inspection reports in recent years. In fact, it only received a grade of D for its inspection grade. Our inspection scores account for a host of factors found on a facility's inspection report. You should be most cautious when considering a facility with severe deficiencies on a recent inspection report. This facility had 4 deficiencies by government inspectors. The only favorable thing we can say is that none of these deficiencies were in the categories that indicate that they caused a threat to resident safety or health. Finally, we want to draw your attention to the fact that this facility received significant government fines amounting to over $100,000. This generally signifies that a nursing home's poor performance spanned several years.
Short-term Care Quality
The last category we rated is short-term care, in which this nursing home was given a poor score in this area also. Unfortunately, we gave it an F in this category, which is obviously somewhat alarming. In determining our short-term care scores, we analyze a facility's levels of skilled nursing, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists respiratory therapists and other types of therapists. This rating is more often than not a fair measure of a nursing home's rehabilitation services. With its abysmal rating in this area, we weren't shocked to discover this place provides significantly fewer physical therapist and registered nurse hours per resident than most facilities. The last statistic we considered in this category is the percentage of residents who were able to leave the nursing home and return to the community. We discovered that just 3.6 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home, which is well below average. The combination of these poor statistics sunk this facility's short-term care score.
