We gave them one of our more favorable grades in this area, with a B. This turned out to be the facility's second highest score. After considering the volume of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then looked at the nursing home's vaccination statistics. This facility vaccinated 96.276596 percent of its patients against pneumonia. Vaccines are critical to keeping patients out of the hospital. Lastly, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. There are numerous datapoints included in this category. Most of the criteria are tied to the quantity and quality of nurse staffing. This nursing home provided just 0.4 hours of nursing care per patient each day. This is an alarmingly low total. Finally, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in computing our nursing grades. This nursing home fared well when it comes to minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: F

This facility's worst category is short-term care, which is the last category we assessed. We gave it an abysmal F for this area. In spite of a few acceptable scores in other areas, this grade is nevertheless alarming so we wanted to draw your attention to it. Our short-term care ratings are thought to be most critical for folks in need of rehabilitation from their nursing home. Rehabilitation usually requires more highly-skilled nursing. This includes not merely nursing services, but also physical and occupational therapy, as well as other variations of therapy. Considering its grade in this area, we were not stunned to learn that this place was well below average in terms of the quantity of physical therapy and registered nurse hours provided to its residents based on the measures we looked at. Honestly, this was what we expected here. Finally, we assessed the percentage of patients who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that just 4.2 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.
