Facility Inspections

Grade: B-plus

This nursing home earned an inspection score which is stronger than its overall grade. Inspection ratings are based on a nursing home's recent health inspections. We awarded this facility an above average grade of B+ in this category. Perhaps the most significant factor we look at in calculating our inspection scores is deficiencies. These deficiencies can be found on a facility's inspection reports. Nursing homes with better grades in this area typically dodged the more severe deficiencies involving health risks or even death. This particular nursing home received 7 deficiencies on its inspection report. Overall, this is still a solid inspection report, but we'd always recommend looking into any deficiencies you find troubling.

Nurse Quality

Grade: B-plus

One of the other reasons we graded this facility so highly is that it received a very impressive nursing score. In that category, we awarded this nursing home an B+. Nursing scores are heavily correlated with quantity of nursing care available. This nursing home provides 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well when it comes to avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: D

We awarded this nursing home a grade of just D for our short-term care grade. This is not an impressive grade. Our short-term care grades are based in part on the nursing home's quantity of skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This means a broad spectrum of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, not to mention other types of therapy. Considering its grade in this category, we weren't surprised to discover that this place was well below average in terms of its quantity of registered nurse and physical therapy hours provided to its patients based on the metrics we looked at. Lastly, we looked at the number of patients that who were able to eventually return home from this facility. This nursing home didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 3.5 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: D

This nursing home's least impressive area is long-term care, which is the final category we assessed. For this area, we awarded this nursing home a grade of just D. For prospective residents looking for a permanent residence rather than skilled nursing, long-term care is an important category. On top of looking at the volume of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we analyzed the percentage of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. This nursing home provided the vaccine to 97.38562 percent of its patients, which is higher than most nursing homes. Surprisingly, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this facility has less hospitalizations than many nursing homes. Unfortunately, some of its other scores in the category were not as favorable as these.
