We also want to point out that this facility excelled in our nursing rating. We awarded them an impressive grade of A+ in this category. There are several factors included in this category. Most of these subcategories relate to the quantity of nurse staffing. This particular nursing home provided 4.9 hours of nursing care per patient daily. This was one of the highest figures we found. Furthermore, a significant portion of this care was provided by registered nurses, which are highly skilled nurses. Both of these statistics are impressive. On top of offering high levels of care, this nursing home also excelled in several of the quality-based metrics we assessed. With less than five percent of its residents suffering from pressure ulcers, it fared as well as any nursing home the country in this category. This is usually a good indicator that a facility has reliable quality controls. Many pressure ulcers could be prevented by providing better nursing care and a system of moving patients more frequently.

This nursing home also earned an A+ inspection score, making it one of the few nursing homes to receive multiple A+'s in our category grades. One of the factors we considered on top of this facility's impressive nursing hours was vaccinations. This facility administered the pneumonia vaccination to 97.82609 percent of its patients. Vaccines are a great way to avoid unnecessary deaths and hospitalizations for the elderly. Lastly, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. It had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.
