On top of receiving a great overall score, this facility also received an A+ short-term care grade. Our short-term care ratings are likely more meaningful for residents needing rehabilitation services. Rehabilitation typically utilizes more skilled nursing services. Skilled nursing means not only nursing services, but also physical and speech therapy, as well as other types of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not all facilities employs these skilled professionals. However, based on the data this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Lastly, we considered the number of residents who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that 6.3 percent of this facility's residents returned home.

Our nursing grade analyzes the facility's level of nurse staffing. We look at both the levels of skill of the nurses as well as the amount of time spent with residents. Our inspection scores are based on several items found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. This particular nursing home had just a single deficiency on its inspection report and it was not one deemed to pose a threat to patient health or safety.
