Facility Inspections
Although we did not rate this nursing home highly overall, we want to draw your attention to its nearly flawless government inspections in recent years. We awarded them an impressive grade of A- in this category. Our inspection scores are tied to items found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Deficiencies are an important thing to look for on these reports. You should especially avoid nursing homes that have severe deficiencies associated with risks to resident well being. While this place had some minor dings on its government inspection report, it had zero severe deficiencies. Severe deficiencies are those found in categories G through L. This means that the government inspectors did not deem any of the deficiencies on this facility's report to pose an imminent threat to patient health or safety. A few minor deficiencies are not the end of the world.
Long-term Care Quality
This nursing home's second highest category turned out to be its long-term care score, where it was awarded a C. In a long-term care setting, the nursing home's primary objective is to maintain patients' quality of life and keep them safe. Once we finished looking at the volume of nursing care, we next considered the facility's vaccination data. We were pleased to discover that this facility vaccinated 96.76259 percent of its patients against pneumonia. Finally, this nursing home was also able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.

Short-term Care Quality
We awarded this facility just a D for our short-term care rating. This is not a very good score. In determining our short-term care ratings, we scrutinize the facility's levels of skilled nursing, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists speech therapists and other licensed professionals. This score is typically a meaningful assessment of the facility's ability to rehabilitate patients. Considering its grade in this category, we weren't surprised to discover that this place was well below average in terms of its quantity of physical therapy and registered nurse hours offered to its patients based on the figures we looked at. Lastly, we assessed the number of patients that ultimately were able to return home from this nursing home. This nursing home didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 4.5 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home.
Nurse Quality
The next area we graded is nursing, in which this nursing home was given a poor score in this area as well. Sadly, it received a lowly F in this area, which is obviously very concerning. Our nursing rating is based on numerous data points. The most heavily weighted one is the number of hours nurses spent with patients. With just 0.3 hours of nursing care per patient daily, this nursing home's nurse staffing levels were quite a bit below average. Finally, we also looked at some nursing quality measures in calculating our nursing scores. This facility fared well when it comes to minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls.
