Facility Inspections
The main reason this turned out to be a decent nursing home is that it received an elite inspection score. In fact, its inspection grade was far superior to its overall score. In the inspections category, we gave this facility an A-. We weigh several aspects of a nursing home's inspection report in calculating our inspection grades. One of those factors is health deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of deficiencies is arguably more important than the number of deficiencies, as some deficiencies are quite minor. This particular nursing home received 7 deficiencies on its inspection report. Overall, this is still a good inspection report, but we'd always recommend looking into any deficiencies you find troubling.

We also awarded this facility a favorable grade in short-term care. This facility earned a B+ in this area, which turns out to be one of our more favorable scores. In determining our short-term care scores, we analyze the facility's levels of skilled nursing, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists respiratory therapists and other types of therapists. This rating is frequently a fair measure of the facility's rehabilitation services. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not all facilities employs these skilled professionals. However, according to the data they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Long-term Care Quality
The next area we rated is long-term care. Sadly, it received an abysmal F in this area, which is a poor score. This is clearly a major disappointment. Long-term care ratings in this range generally are a bad sign for the quantity and quality of care provided by nurses and aids. In addition to looking at the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we analyzed the percentage of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. We were a bit alarmed this nursing home administered the vaccine to a relatively low 65.567764 percent of its patients. To our surprise, this place was actually decent at keeping its residents out of the hospital. In fact, it had just 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days. This was its best feature in this category.
