Grade: A-plus

This nursing home received a quality overall score as described above, but we especially wanted to emphasize its nearly flawless inspections in recent years. We awarded it an A+ in this area. Inspection grades take several factors into consideration, including deficiencies and substantiated complaints. You can find more information about each of these items by reviewing copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. While this facility had a few minor dings on its inspection report, it had no severe deficiencies. Severe deficiencies are ones found in categories G, H, I, J, K and L. This means CMS did not deem any of the deficiencies on this facility's report to pose an imminent threat to patient health or safety. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Long-term Care Quality

Facilities that receive this type of score in long-term care tend to provide consistent around the clock care to ensure residents are well cared for. One of the criteria we considered in addition to nurse's aid hours is vaccinations. This facility provided the pneumonia vaccine to 63.730568 percent of its patients. Our short-term care grades are probably more meaningful for residents requiring a nursing home for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation usually mandates higher levels of skilled nursing services. This means not merely nursing, but also physical and respiratory therapy, as well as other types of therapy. Unfortunately, we weren't able to find information about this nursing home's registered nurse or physical therapy staffing. Lastly, we considered the percentage of patients that eventually returned home from this facility. We found that 5.8 percent of this nursing home's patients were able to return home.
