Facility Inspections

Grade: A-plus

We also wanted to point out that this nursing home has received near flawless government inspections recently. We awarded them an impressive grade of A+ in this area. These inspection scores take several factors into consideration, including deficiencies and federal fines. You can find more information about each of these factors by obtaining copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. This facility was assessed 4 deficiencies on its inspection report, but we were relieved to see that none were considered to be severe deficiencies. This tells you that CMS didn't consider any of the deficiencies to be an imminent threat to resident safety or health. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B-plus

This facility is also above average in the area of short-term care, where it was given a score of B+. It performed more favorably than most nursing homes in this area. In the category of short-term care, we endeavor to assess measures of a nursing home's rehabilitation services. We look at a nursing home's skilled nursing services, such as the ones performed by registered nurses and physical therapists. Fortunately, it appear that this facility employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these types of nurses. However, according to the information they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Lastly, we looked at the number of patients who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that 5.6 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.

Long-term Care Quality

This facility is also above average in the category of long-term care, where it received a score of B+. It performed more favorably than most facilities in this category. When nursing homes receive this kind of score in this category it is a good sign for resident care and suggests that the place is well-staffed with nurses aids. On top of assessing the amount of care provided by aids and other staff, we also looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated against pneumonia.
