Registered Staff Hours
Nurse Quality
While we graded this facility incredibly poorly overall, it received a fairly respectable nursing grade this year. We gave it a grade of B- in that category. Nursing grades are largely tied to the nursing home's level of nurse staffing. This facility provides 0.3 hours of nursing care per patient daily. This is a lower figure than we were hoping for. Despite having low quantities of nursing care, this nursing home actually excelled in some of the quality-based metrics we assessed. It scored well in the area of avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls.
Short-term Care Quality
Remarkably, we awarded this nursing home a grade of B- for its short-term care rating, which is not too bad of a score. In the category of short-term care, we strive to qualify indicators of a nursing home's rehabilitation services. We look at the facility's skilled nursing services, including those performed by registered nurses and physical and occupational therapists. We found that this place was below average in the two key staffing areas we focus on. The facility offered fewer physical therapist and registered nurse hours per resident than most other nursing homes. The last metric we considered in this category is the percentage of residents that were able to return home from the nursing home. We found that just 0 percent of this facility's residents returned home. Unfortunately, this was below average.

Facility Inspections
This facility received an F for its inspection grade. For nursing homes with bad inspection ratings, you should really scrutinize any severe deficiencies found on their recent inspection reports. This particular facility was hit with 6 deficiencies on its inspection report. The only favorable thing we can say is that none of its deficiencies were in the categories that indicate that they caused a risk to patient safety or health. Lastly, this nursing home was cited by CMS for possible abuse or neglect. This is generally a really bad sign. We would never recommend this facility.
Long-term Care Quality
Turning to our fourth category, this nursing home really didn't perform well in this category either. Due to a poor grade of F in long-term care, this is about as as uninspiring as it gets. Nursing homes that receive this type of score in this category may not provide the type of consistent 24/7 care that some other facilities offer. After looking at the amount of care provided by aids and other staff, we then analyzed the nursing home's vaccination record. Candidly, we were a bit concerned this nursing home vaccinated 82.1192 percent of its patients for pneumonia, which happens to be several points less than average. Surprisingly, this nursing home was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this nursing home had less hospitalizations than most nursing homes. This was its best feature in this category.
