Facility Inspections
On top of performing well overall, this nursing home earned nearly flawless government inspections. Therefore, it earned one of our best scores in that area with an A+. Our inspection ratings account for several factors included in a nursing home's inspection reports. One key criteria we rely on is the quantity and severity of deficiencies. Places with better scores in this area generally have very few of these severe deficiencies. While this facility had some minor dings on its government inspection report, it had no severe deficiencies. Severe deficiencies are those labeled as categories G through L. This tells you the inspectors didn't consider any of the deficiencies on this facility's report to pose an imminent threat to patient health or safety. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
Long-term Care Quality
This facility also was awarded an A+ long-term care grade, rendering it one of the few facilities to be given multiple A+ category grades. Nursing homes that excel in long-term care typically provide patients with closer supervision and stay on top of routine healthcare services. On top of assessing the volume of care provided by aids and other staff, we looked at the number of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. This facility vaccinated 98.611115 percent of its residents. Vaccines are critical to keeping residents out of the hospital. Lastly, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. It had only 0.03 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.

Short-term Care Quality
This nursing home received a strong short-term care grade as well. We gave it one of our better grades in that category with a score of B. Short-term care grades are based on a facility's quantity of skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This means a broad range of nursing services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, as well as other variations of therapy. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like this facility submitted information on registered nurse or physical therapist staffing. The last metric we considered in this category is the percentage of residents who ultimately returned home from the nursing home. We found that 6.5 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home as opposed to remaining at the facility on a permanent basis.
Nurse Quality
The final area we rated was nursing. In this area, we awarded this facility a decent grade of B-. This actually is this facility's weakest category. Our nursing rating is based on the nursing home's level of nurse staffing. We weigh both the levels of licensure of the nurses and the quantity of hours spent with patients. This nursing home averages just 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a very low figure. Finally, although this place got dinged a bit for its nursing hours, it excelled in some of our quality-based metrics. With fewer than five percent of its residents experiencing pressure ulcers, it fared very well in this area.
