One of the reasons this ended up being a quality nursing home is that it received an A+ in our inspections category. This is simply as good as it gets in this category. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This place performed well in this area. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a place has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can generally be prevented if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.

In the next area we assessed, this nursing home was given strong marks in the category of long-term care. For this reason, it was given one of our most impressive grades in that category with a of A+. When nursing homes receive a grade in this range in this category it typically means it's well-staffed and is a quality place to live on a permanent basis. Once we assessed the quantity of care provided by nurses and other staff, we turned to the facility's vaccination records. This facility vaccinated 98.07692 percent of its residents for pneumonia, which is much higher than the vast majority of nursing homes. Clearly, this facility is doing something right in this area as it was able to keep its residents out of the hospital. Indeed, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.

Turning to our last category, this nursing home also performed well in our short-term care category. In fact, we awarded it an A- in this category. This finalized truly elite profile. Our short-term care scores are meaningful for patients seeking rehabilitation. Rehabilitation usually mandates more skilled nursing services. Skilled nursing includes a vast range of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not every nursing home employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, based on the information they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Lastly, we looked at the percentage of residents who ultimately were able to return home from this nursing home. We found that 0 percent of this facility's residents returned home.
