One of the many reasons this turned out to be a great nursing home is it earned an impressive grade in inspections. Inspections turned out to be its best category. In this area, we gave this facility a grade of A. Inspection grades are based on pieces of information found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that score well in this area typically have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these facilities generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. Adding to its strong resume, this facility also received an excellent nursing score, with a grade of A-. There are many subcategories included in this grade. Most of these factors are tied to the quantity and quality of nurse staffing. This nursing home provides an incredible 4.1 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is much better than what is offered by most facilities. Lastly, this place also excelled in the quality-based metrics we looked at. It performed as well as any nursing home the state in the area of avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers.
Long-term Care Quality
In our last category, this facility also received a very strong long-term care grade, with an A-. This finished off a very strong profile. Facilities that receive this kind of grade in long-term care tend to provide consistent around the clock care to ensure residents are well cared for. In addition to providing very favorable levels of nursing care and other staffing, this facility provided the pneumonia vaccine to 100 percent of its patients.
