Although we gave this facility an abysmal overall score, we awarded it a C for our nursing category. The nursing score weighs a handful of datapoints, but the main consideration is the quantity of nurse hours per patient per week. Despite not having the highest total nursing hours per resident, this nursing home actually performed admirably in the metric of preventing major falls. This is usually a reliable indicator that a place has quality controls in place. Some falls can be avoided if a facility supplies enough nurses aids to assist its patients.

Turning to the area of long-term care, this facility was given just a D in that category. As it turns out, this wound up being one of its best areas. Unfortunately, with a grade of D in the inspection category, this facility performed relatively poorly in that area.
