Registered Staff Hours
Short-term Care Quality
While we did not give this facility a good overall score, we actually gave it a strong score in our short-term care rating, where it received a grade of B+. In crafting these short-term care scores, we assess the facility's skilled nursing services, such as those performed by registered nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists and other types of skilled professionals. The goal is to formulate a barometer for sizing up the rehabilitation services of various facilities. Unfortunately, we were not able to track down information about this nursing home's registered nurse or physical therapy staffing. Finally, we looked at the number of patients who ultimately returned home from this facility. We found that 5.9 percent of this nursing home's patients were able to return home.
Nurse Quality
One of the other reasons we graded this nursing home so highly is that it earned a very impressive nursing score. This proved to be its second best category grade. In that category, we awarded this nursing home an B-. The nursing score is based on numerous datapoints. The most important one is the number of hours nurses spend with residents. This nursing home provides only 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident each day. This is a somewhat concerning figure as it is well below average. Despite having low quantities of nursing care, this place actually fared better in some of the quality measures we assessed. In fact, it performed well in the area of avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. Many consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care. In some cases, the quality of nursing care is every bit as important as the number of hours of care provided.

Facility Inspections
This nursing home received slightly below average inspections in recent years. We gave them a C in this category. Our inspection ratings account for several factors found on a nursing home's inspection report. One of the most important criteria we consider is the number and severity of deficiencies. This particular nursing home had just a single deficiency on its inspection report and it was not one deemed to pose a threat to patient health or safety. Unfortunately, we also need to draw your attention to the fact that this facility received some government fines in recent years.
Long-term Care Quality
Moving on to our final area, this nursing home didn't perform very well in this category either. Due to a poor grade of F in long-term care, this is just about as terrible as it gets. Nursing homes that don't fare well in this category often do not provide as much nursing care and also may be lagging in a few of the areas of routine medical care we assessed. One of the criteria we considered on top of nursing hours is vaccinations. This facility administered the pneumonia vaccination to 91.06383 percent of its patients. Surprisingly, this nursing home actually fared well at keeping its patients out of the hospital. In fact, it had just 0.01 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days. This is its best score in this category.
