After considering the quantity of care provided by aids and other staff, we then looked at the facility's vaccination data. This facility vaccinated 97.613365 percent of its residents for pneumonia. Vaccines are vital to keeping patients out of the hospital. Clearly, this nursing home is doing something right in this area as it was able to keep its residents out of the hospital. Indeed, it had only 0.02 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.

In forming our short-term care grades, we assess the nursing home's skilled nursing services, such as those performed by registered nurses, speech therapists, physical therapists and other types of therapists. Unfortunately, we were not able to locate information about this nursing home's registered nurse or physical therapy staffing. Finally, we looked at the number of patients that ultimately were able to return home from this nursing home. We found that 5.7 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home. This figure was actually quite a bit below average.

This nursing home's weakest category was nursing, which is the last area we scored. Sadly, it received a lowly F in this category. Despite some acceptable grades in other areas, this score is nevertheless concerning so we felt obligated to point it out.
