On top of performing well in its overall grade, this nursing home performed at an even higher level in the area of inspections. In fact, it received a nearly flawless inspection report this year. As a result, it received one of our highest grades in that category with a score of A+. Our inspection grades account for a host of factors found on a nursing home's inspection reports. One of the most important criteria we look at is the number and severity of deficiencies. Places with better grades in this area tend to have few severe deficiencies. Unfortunately, it does not look like we were able to find information about this nursing home's deficiencies. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Contributing to this facility's list of achievements, it also was given a top-shelf long-term care score. We awarded them a dominant strong of A- in this area. For prospective patients seeking a permanent residence as opposed to rehabilitation, long-term care grades are an important measure. Once we looked at the volume of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination record. This nursing home vaccinated 79.32099 percent of its patients against pneumonia, which is slightly lower than we were hoping for but still a reasonably acceptable percentage. The last datapoint we looked at is its hospitalization rate. We found that this nursing home had 2.92 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days. While this admittedly wasn't as strong as some of its other scores in this category, this statistic can be skewed for some nursing homes based on the medical complexity of patients.

This nursing home's third most favorable category is its short-term care grade, where it was given a B-. Our short-term care ratings are based in part on a nursing home's quantity of highly-skilled highly skilled professionals. This includes a wide scope of services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, in addition to other forms of therapy. We were pleased to find that this nursing home employs both registered nurses and physical therapists. The same can't be said for all nursing homes. Lastly, we considered the percentage of residents who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. It performed decently in this area, with 47.2 percent of its patients returning home.

The last category we looked at is nursing. We gave this facility a D for nursing, leaving this as the facility's worst category. Our nursing rating assesses the facility's nurse staffing levels. We weigh both the levels of licensure of the nurses as well as the amount of time spent with residents. This nursing home provides 3.6 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is slightly below average. Unfortunately, this place also didn't fare as well as we hoped in some of the quality-based metrics we assessed for this category.
