Short-term Care Quality
One of the many reasons this turned out to be a great nursing home is that it received an A+ short-term care grade. This is simply as good as it gets in this category. Our short-term care grades are based on a facility's quantity of highly-skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This means a broad range of nursing services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these skilled professionals. However, based on the data they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Finally, we considered the number of residents that returned home from this facility. We found that 6.7 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home.
Facility Inspections
Adding to this facility's impressive resume, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A for our inspections rating. Inspection grades are based on several items located in the a nursing home's recent inspections. Facilities that receive favorable grades in this area typically have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these facilities should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. While this place had a few deficiencies on its inspection report, none of them were major deficiencies based on CMS' deficiency scale. A couple minor dings aren't necessarily the end of the world.

Nurse Quality
This facility received a very good nursing grade this year as well. It received one of our better scores in that category with a grade of B+. The nursing category assesses quite a few datapoints, most of which are tied to quantities of nurse staffing. This particular nursing home provided 0.5 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This place performed well in this area. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a place has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can typically be avoided if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.
Long-term Care Quality
Moving on to the last area, this facility received a respectable long-term care grade. While this wasn't nearly as good as some of its other category grades, this is still not a terrible score. For prospective residents seeking a permanent place to live rather than skilled nursing, long-term care is a very important category. After assessing the volume of care provided by aids and other staff, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination data. This facility vaccinated 94.871796 percent of its residents for pneumonia, which is higher than the average nursing home. This nursing home keeps its patients out of the hospital. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.
