An additional strong feature for this nursing home is that it received a very positive long-term care score. Indeed, this wound up being its second best category score. In that area, we gave this facility a B+. For prospective residents looking for a permanent residence as opposed to rehabilitation, long-term care grades are an important measure. This facility's vaccination records weren't as favorable as its number of nursing hours per resident. It provided the pneumonia vaccine to just 66.00496 percent of its patients. We would love to see some improvement herein this statistic in the future. Clearly, this nursing home is doing something right in this area as it also excelled at keeping its residents out of the hospital. It had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.

In addition, this facility also received favorable nursing grades this year. In fact, we awarded them one of our better scores in that area, with a grade of B+. Our nursing category consists of quite a few datapoints, most of which are based on levels of nurse staffing. With 4.1 hours of nursing care per resident daily, this nursing home surpassed the vast majority of facilities. Finally, we also looked at nursing quality measures in determining our nursing scores. These include minimizing residents' pressure ulcers and major falls. We view these datapoints as reliable indicators of the caliber of nursing care provided, since better care tends to reduce these problems.

Our short-term care grades are based on the facility's quantity of skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This includes a wide spectrum of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, not to mention other variations of therapy. Fortunately, this nursing home offers both physical therapists and registered nurses. Not all facilities offer both. Lastly, we assessed the number of residents who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that 44.6 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.
