While we graded this facility incredibly poorly overall, it received a fairly respectable inspection report this year. As a result, it received a decent grade in that category with a score of B-. These inspection grades take several factors into consideration, including deficiencies, substantiated complaints and federal fines. Fortunately, although this facility had some minor dings on its inspection report, it had no severe deficiencies. Severe deficiencies are found in categories G through L. In calculating our short-term care ratings, we assess the nursing home's levels of skilled nursing services, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists occupational therapists and other licensed professionals. This grade is considered to be a useful measure of a nursing home's ability to rehabilitate patients. Given its score in this category, we weren't surprised to find that this place is well below average in terms of the number of registered nurse and physical therapy hours offered to its patients based on the figures we assessed. Lastly, we considered the number of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that just 0 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.

Turning to our next area, this facility didn't fare very well in this area either. With a rock bottom grade of F in long-term care, this is just about as terrible as it gets. Long-term care grades in this range generally are a bad sign for the quantity and quality of care provided by nurses and aids. On top of considering the quantity of care provided by nurses and other staff, we also looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. Frankly, we were a bit alarmed this nursing home provided the vaccine to just 90.72848 percent of its residents. Surprisingly, this place was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this facility had fewer hospitalizations than many nursing homes. This was its best score in this category.
